Our journey began with the lifelong passion of Chef Tony Mashaal, who first introduced the authentic, vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean to Downtown Topeka. Now, we are incredibly excited to turn the page and welcome you to our beautiful new location at 17th and Fairlawn. Every dish at Olive Cafe is crafted with love, combining time-honored family recipes with fresh, premium ingredients and rich heritage spices. For Tony, hospitality is a personal promise which is why he proudly operates with a strict philosophy of "zero unsatisfied customers." I was so impressed with the burst of flavors and smooth creamy texture of the hummus. Highly recommend ordering the hummus! You won’t be disappointed. The falafel’s were served a just the right temp and perfect nutty flavor. The falafel sauce was an amazing compliment to the falafels. Atmosphere of the Cafe is bright, cheerful and calming. "This place is a gem and it hasn’t even opened yet! I can’t believe the transformation from what used to be a Supercuts to a colorful, cozy cafe with murals inside and out. The hummus I tried today was smooth and creamy, and the lentil soup had a warm, earthy flavor that was well balanced. I look forward to trying other dishes from the Olive Cafe once they open!"
